Research on South African Adoption: Please help
My name is Jody Boffa and I am a graduate student at the University of Copenhagen studying in the Department of International Health. For my masters thesis I am looking at the reasons why international adoption from South Africa is not a common practice, given the number of orphans due to AIDS. As part of my research, I would like to survey all parents who have adopted South African children in Canada and the US since 1994. Because the number of adoptions is quite small, it is important that I reach as many adoptive parents as possible.
If you are interested in participating, I have a brief questionnaire that should not take too long to fill out. You do not have to include your name in the response. Results of the study will be made available to all participating parents as well as relevant policy makers and adoption agencies.
If you would like more information, or would like to participate, please reply. You are also welcome to contact my supervisor, Dan Meyrowitsch, at the University of Copenhagen, at d.meyrowitsch@pubhealth.ku.dk.
Thanks!
Jody
