Our profile is being shown to a birthmother this weekend who is wanting to place her 9 month old son. We just found out today, so I'm trying to be prepared just in case. I'm trying to find some info as to whether or not it is okay for us to change his name. We have a name picked out for a boy, but don't want to be disrespectful to the bmom by changing his birth name. But on the other hand, if we do get to adopt him, he will be our son. Any ideas, thoughts, experiences with this? Anyone know of any good resources I could check into about this?
