hee hee, I remember that great feeling when the HS was over! Our SW was very very sweet and wonderful to work with. BUT, she did warn me before her visit that she was anti-TV for kids. She also handed me a couple of articles on the negative effects of TV on children and suggested a couple of books on the subject. I freaked!!! TV is very comforting for my bio son with autism when there is someone new in the house. Now I had to think about how he was going to keep happily occupied for 2+ hours without getting anxious.
The HS actually went fine. I sent up several activities for my son to keep busy with and he got to watch TV beforehand so he wouldn't be asking for it when the SW was in the house. Well, after keeping himself busy for almost 2 hours, he wandered around the living room contemplating what to do next. He said "I'm bored with playdoh and coloring." Then walked over to the TV and said "and I can't watch TV because I already just watched ALOT of TV today". LOL!!!!! I was mortified but she didn't hold it against us.
