Talking Mia Rene is home

Dear Friends,

I honestly have missed this board greatly this weekend but I have definitely seen your prayers answered as my mom relayed your messages to us on our way home. I look forward to rejoining the conversations here and and being part of the wonderful support we received in bringing our precious Mia home.

We had an amazing adventure home. We boarded the plane from Atlanta to Greensboro at the last minute after calling everybody to say we wouldn't be home until the next day. They even put us in business class as the only seats left were there!

We arrived late Friday night and stayed at Kristina's parents house. Saturday was spent with family. Mia loves her cousins so much. There was no "warm up" time at all needed for them. She loved on her aunt's and uncles. Kristina's parents "Maw Maw and Paw Paw" sat and watched their new granddaughter with the sweetest pride on their faces. Saturday evening, we took Mia home. She loves her room so much. She sat playing with her toys and telling us about each one in her own little "Mia language".

Sunday was AWESOME as we worshipped the Lord together at church for the first time in a very long time. Our church family was so very supportive in our journey and welcomed the girls back with such tenderness. Sunday afternoon saw more family and a welcome back party at the church. Mia is very comfortable in her hous now. She is exploring everything and chattering a mile a minute.

I returned to work teaching today. As I left, both Mia and Kristina were out cold exhausted. I can't help but yearn to go home real soon and see my girls. I just wanted to thank you all very much.

Pictures are coming later this afternoon....
