I am a birthmother. The reason I placed my son was that I wanted him to have a mother and a father. That was something I couldnt provide. I love my son very much and I want the best for him, even if it wasnt myself. I gave him parents that could give him what I couldnt. It was very hard, but necessary.
I am NOT coming down on single parents, but if having just one parent was acceptable to me, I would have kept him.
