Hemangioma - Anyone have a child with one?
This little guy we are evaluating has a smallish hemangioma on the lower eyelid. I know it can be surgically removed HOWEVER there can be issues arising from eye-brain development if the tumor is putting pressure on the eyeball.
Has anyone had any experience with a hemangioma? (I know they are VERY common in the US - 1 out of every 1,000 births)
Also, for the nurses out there, how can you tell if it is truly a hemangioma OR a port wine stain?
