Oh geez, Angela, our processes are going too much the same way. Here's the timing for us: Embassy got DNA report 12/16.
On 12/17, the Embassy sent our attorney a request like yours, except they asked for certified translated copies of our son's bio-siblings' birth certificates. They gave a deadline of 1/16. The atty got the birth certificates to them on 1/12. Maybe it took so long because of the holidays.
On 1/13, the Embassy sent a second request due to a discrepancy b/w the attorney's paperwork and the hospital records regarding the number of siblings. The atty got that done last week, so we're hoping to hear something positive from Embassy soon. We are a little worried that the Embassy may be considering investigation with all of this going on...
but I'm supposed to be thinking positively these days
so I'll put on my
and hope for the best.
These delays are excruciating, I know! Hopefully your atty can get these documents submitted quickly and that preapproval will come as quickly thereafter as smmars' did.
