Major cold feet here, when we were TTC (or not trying not to conceive, as Brad says).
Matt and I got married on Nov. 1, 2002. I think it was only a couple weeks later that I was saying, "Let's have a baby."
He kind of hemmed and hawed...
Then at the end of December, we were out at a club with Matt's cousin and the cousin's girlfriend. They were not married yet (though it was moving that way), and had not even been together that long. She was just coming out of a difficult divorce, in fact. Still, they knew they would be together forever. They were "the ones" to each other.

(And yup, they are married now and very happy.)
Anyway, Matt's cousin, J, told us that night that he and L were trying to have a baby.
Well, after we got home Matt looked at me and said, (paraphrasing), Heck, if they're trying already, maybe it's not that big a deal. Maybe we can be parents...
So, from January through March, we stopped using condoms.... every month... right until the time we both suspected I was ovulating. (I didn't track it or anything, we both just knew.) Then, we'd both wimp out.
Finally, in April we decided to really "go for it," and stuck with it even during ovulation time.
BAM. We were pregnant.
Still, when I took the test and it turned positive, I almost cried. I was sooooooooo scared. But it was done, and couldn't be undone at that point. (Well, not for me, anyway, I don't have it in me to abort a pregnancy...)
Sorry, long story. Just wanted you to know that we had major cold feet, too. It was very, very scary watching that little stick turn up two pink lines. Maybe in part because the last time it had done that, was for Marie....
