Emergency placements can last anywhere from 1 night to several weeks or longer. If the child is with you any length of time, they will give you a clothing allotment for the child. There is no stipend for food, but in our state all foster children or babies can recieve WIC. As a foster parent you will recive a stipend and that is supposed to cover food, as well as shelter. What would you do with a 6 month old and another infant once school starts back?
