We also have a 5 year old and would like to adopt a daughter close to 2 and a half. I am not so much concerned about attachment issues or other problems, but whether we can actually adopt a child in this age range. We have been told that even if we request a child of this age, we may still be referred a 1 year old. So my question is, has anyone managed to adopt a child of this age after requesting it, and how old are the parents? Please respond if you know anyone who has had any luck!! Thanks.
