I have adopted two children, a boy of 18 months and a girl of 6 months. We have adopted them through Missionaries of Charity, Calcutta (Mother Teresa). I had the same feeling as u are having before our homestudy. Well, I was a little nervous also. But the things turned out to be quite easy. The counsellor who came to visit us met some of our close relatives and she discussed the different aspects of adoption. Moreover she also explained how to disclose the actual fact to the children. It was a very good experience for us and we got the answer to most of our questions. I hope that u will feel the same. Wishing u best of luck
