nystate registry
Wekuebler: All people whose names were required on the surrender papers need to register with the NYstate registry in order to make a match with the adoptee registered. If only the bmom's name was on the surrender papers and not the bdad's then the registry will do the match with the adoptee and bmom. In most cases only the bmom's name appeared on the surrender papers. However, if the bdad's name WAS on the surrender papers then he too would have to register along with the bmom in order to make a match with the adoptee registered. Gina
