I have a question. We just had a failed relative adoption last week. We want to give back as many of the baby shower gifts as possible. Is this appropriate? We feel it would help us to grieve and gain some closure. We were wondering how others in this situation have handled this. We do not plan on trying to adopt anytime soon. Maybe in a few years. We were doing this for a close relative, so we do not wish to keep any of the gifts.
