Hello Rachel!

I went through almost the exact situation that you did. I went into preterm labor at 19 weeks and my little boy lived just for an hour. So I know exactly what you are saying. By the time that we started the adoption process I was more than ready and felt that this was the way I was going to have a family.
I have a little girl through adoption. We decided to go the domestic infant route since we had lost a baby already and we wanted to experience that stage. The bmom that we matched with wanted us to go to the remaining dr. visits and wanted us to be in the hospital room during labor and delivery if we wanted to. We did all that and it was amazing. We have a deep connection with the bmom because we spent a lot of time getting to know each other before our daugher was born. We are starting the process again and I hope that we can have a similar experience with the next bmom.
Good luck to you!!
Kathy
