What makes adoptees reject birthmothers?
I am an in-family adoptee, my birthmother rejects me. I am still her secret and she will go to her grave with me being her big
secret.
I am also a reunited birthmother. Thankfully I didn't get rejection on both ends.
I think I know a little about birthmother rejection. In my opinion it is mainly fear and shame that they never dealt with.
If, and I know it won't happen, but if my birthmother came to me with her heart open, I would not reject her, she is my mother and I love her.. May or may not make sense to anyone but me.
What I don't know is, what makes an adoptee reject a birthmother?
I don't even know why I want to know, except I am in this
"wonderful"world of adoption and the more I understand, the
better.
