Oops - omitted addressing the only real question in your first post -
Our daughter came to us at 7 mos. I was able to stay home for 3 mos and did place her in a home daycare at 10 mos. It was fine., she was fine.
Also, I didn't address that I think you are better off without THIS particular nanny anyway.
