thanks for the tips. We figured we had a few months til the first of the blowouts:-). we are no longer so naive:-). as others suggested, we are trying several diapers. I ran out to target yesterday and picked up Pampers dry size 2, pampers swaddlers size 2, target premium diapers (I hope the work out due to the price savings:-), and Luvs size 2. We will also try huggies, the current diapers she has.

I notice that they all range roughly from 12-18lbs, but the sizing is amazingly different! the luvs are huge, too huge for her now at 12lbs.

I try to keep her diaper changed pretty frequently, but dh tends to see just how much can be put in one innocent diaper, leading to "issues". I think he just forgets, which is amazing to me.

and sarah, I am frightened at the idea of "drool stools". Sounds frightening. She is drooling buckets, which is gross and interesting at the same time. So far no teeth, but we asked what supplies we should have on the parenting board and everyone was helpful. the idea that drooling is connected to scary stools is mindboggling.

we are amazed that something so cute and small can produce something so large and stinky.
