Hello Mag

Just a suggestion -

I am Professor of Psychology (and a clinical psychologist) and I conduct research as well as supervise student research projects

If you ever wish to present or publish your results in a public forum (ie., conference presentation, journal), then you **must** change the way you are presenting your project. If you are only collecting data for your own purposes, or to fulfill the requirements of a course, then you still **should** change the presentation of the project. These suggestions are basic ethical standards for human subject research.

When you conduct research - even if online:

1. you must identify yourself - initials are not acceptable. While it is reasonable for participants to be anonymous it is not ethical for the researchers to be anonymous.

2. You also must give your institutional affiliation, or state for which class you are doing a project.

3. The purpose of the research must be clearly stated.

4. You also must give contact information and agree to provide the participants with the final analysis/results.

If you are conducting this research for purposes other than academic, you still must include the above information and be very clear about your identity & the purpose. If you don't adhere to the basic principals above, then you are violating ethical codes for conducting human research.

Best wishes.
