Hi Lea,
My DS is going to be 8 months old tomorrow. Our pediatrician recommended staying away from yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. until at least 9 months just in case of an allergy but my little man eats pretty much anything you give him and so far no adverse reactions. Have you tried bananas or squash? (my son's favs). I tried spinach which didn't go over too well at first but now no problems at all. He loves broccoli and cauliflower separate & mixed together. Also beets!! (not a fav of mine at all). Blueberries, strawberries, rasberries...all great! Mix them with apples or bananas or a combination of them. You can even try some pastina or a little mashed white potatoe mixed with a veggie. I wouldn't be afraid of meats--start with poultry and pulverize it and mix it with a veggie. My son loves chicken & turkey...so far I haven't tried beef. I use the combinations of jarred baby food as inspirations...like Apple Mango Kiwi (so yummy)...or Sweet Potatoe & Apples, Plum & Rasberry, green been, peas & carrots...I guess the possibilities are endless!!!
Hope this helps! Good luck and feel free to pm me if you'd like!
