Wow, thanks for all of your responses!
Unfortunately a few people did make some assumptions about my comfort with using the term birthmother. Not the case at all. My husband and I heard someone use the term "Tummy Lady" for their toddler and we liked it and thought it would be perfect for our daughter and son while they are very young.
