Question Newbie Hopeful Adoptive Parents

We have to start somewhere... and I like what I'm reading on this forum.

I have one bio child F-5... and cannot have more without lots of fertility treatment. My husband is older, raised 3 of his own (as a single father, I might add!) and can no longer father.

We want to adopt a girl, age 4-5 and are open to all the options, but do need a healthy child.

We are Catholic, born/raised. My main question is will it be difficult for us to locate & successfully adopt a child this age without it taking forever! We want our little girl to have the blessings of a sibling while she begins her school life.

We're thinking of going through our church, however, we have annulments to obtain both of us -- will this prevent us from being considered?

Any honest and thoughtful suggestions are welcome. Thank you for taking the time to read this. God Bless!
