I have found so much comfort and guidance from these boards that I have to share the good news.....the official papers arrived today and our wonderful boy is now legally ours! It's hard to believe that we are finally free of paperwork, lawyers, court dates, and social workers (well, at least until the next one!
I didn't think it would be such a big deal to get the papers, but I started having little butterflies in my stomach to see the legal writings of him having all the rights and privileges as a child born to us and seeing his last name officially changed. I wonder how long my silly grin will last?
