My son Jerrett started sleeping in a double bed when he was about twelve months old.
He had already started to master the art of climbing out of his crib when I came in one day and he had managed to wiggle the bottom apart so he could just climb out of the bottom!
I agree with the above posters, if you hope to have a 2 year old, then start out with a twin…you can always push it against the wall, and get a side rail for safety purposes.
