Question looking for half sister born in New Orleans and handled through VOA

I do not have lots of information. My mother was around 21 and divorced at the time of the birth. She lived at VOA in New Orleans I believe. She just said that she was sent away. It was around 1966. Her name is Geneva Harrell or maybe last name Carter. She had brown hair and green eyes and did not include the birthfather's info as far as I know. She was from Baton Rouge originally and lived on Guice Dr. She told me that she gave the baby girl the name of Robin Yvette at the time of birth. She said that she didn't know where the baby was sent for adoption and that it wasn't her place to know. She felt as though she gave up all rights at the time of birth. She said that she was able to keep the baby for 3 days before they left with her. As you may notice, I keep saying she said... that's because my mother passed away last week. I have always wanted to find my sister since the day I found out but my mom never wanted to risk ruining her life. She always said if she wanted to find her she would. I'm not sure if that can happen but I want to put my name out there just in case she comes looking. Thanks
