Kelly - my agency also says I don't need one. And, like you, I am paranoid about it. In the section of my homestudy that talks about my son, it specifically says that he is healthy, free of communicable diseases and fully immunized. I am interested to hear what you find out. In my case, it wouldn't be that easy to get a letter. I had enormous problems with my dossier because my county clerk's office rejected MANY notary signatures because they weren't totally identical to what was on file. It was ridiculous and I had to redo a few documents 4 times! The notary at my husband's office has a reliable signature, so I ended up bringing most of my people there. A huge hassle. I suppose what I would have to do is find a travelling notary, have them sign something, drive to the county clerk, make sure the signature is OK, then bring the notary to the pediatrician. Ugh. I would rather avoid that if I can!
