I agree with what Christine said - I wanted my child to have a mom and a dad. I could already provide him a mom - but I couldn't provide him a dad. I also think that boys need a positive male influence growing up and I wanted my son to have that..... Not to say that there were not others that could have been good role models for my son, such as my Dad or brother - but I just think a boy needs a dad.
I think its up to the individual tho - there are some pbmoms and bmoms who think placing with a single mom is ok, its just a personal opinon.
