Ingrid,
Yes, my a/Dad is very supportive in this search. My a/mom, well..............I love her but she and I have had many many problems through all these years and I wish I knew why. The only thing I can possibly think is that either my a/dad is my real dad or the fact that when I was 5/6 yrs old and my a/dad was stationed in Turkey , he went to Germany and found my b/mom and he spent two weeks with she and her family during the Christmas holidays. No romance but wanted facts so that when I began asking questions he could give me some answers. They kept in touch for a couple of years after that, she would write to my a/dad in San Antonio, TX where he was stationed at the time but then starting asking for money and my a/dad decided he'd better nip it in the bud. I came right out and asked him if he was my b/dad and he said no but I still have my doubts. I guess my a/mom is jealous of the relationship my a/dad and I have but she has always been so hateful towards me and downed me for everything. Talk about having a complex! I was adopted when I was 8 weeks old and I have all my papers but don't know what number it is that you are referring to. I would definitely like the addresses that you have to help me in my search. I have been looking since 89 and just keep on running into brick walls. What would the relinquishment papers say in German, all my paperwork is in German and I can't read a thing! Do you know the language? I'm sure you do since you were there until you were 7, you were talking by then. Duh! I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Maybe one day we could meet and go to Germany together! Wouldn't that be great and exciting? I'm still in Louisiana, where are you located? Well please keep in touch, I could go on and on about my story. Thanks for replying and my a/dad got back to me and said that last name wasn't familiar, she had married someone from Poland so her last name was a Polish one. Wish there had been some kind of connection.
