Dear Bethany B,
I've had the same problem with baby books.....but I found a place online that told me about making baby scrap books and that is what I did. I got one from Wal-Mart and started it with receipts from paying my lawyer and child custody papers.....I did a birthparents page....birth sibilings page....my familys page....cousins, aunts and uncles, grandparents, great grandparents. I put paper clippings from current events like the war. I clipped car prices, food, and homes to show prices for his birth year. Shower pictures and announcement cards. I took pictures of the process of making his nursery. I did a page with the "name game" on how I came about naming him and even glued the paper scraps with names on it. I did a page of my hobbies, jobs and places I had lived.....pets I have.
This is just an idea for you. I really had a lot of fun doing this for him. It's something you can continue to do as the baby is born with birth announcements, the hospital it's born in....and as the baby grows in age.
I hope this helps you some. And thanks to the others for the links to getting the "chosen one" . I too was having a problem with getting past the "father's" thoughts and family stuff too!

Good luck!
Lisa
