use your benefits

We've just started. Hubby was surprised when he saw the total cost but it's much more manageable when taken in chunks. I like the idea of setting small goals. Also, if you are still military, ensure you are using all of your benefits. For instance, we're buying as much as possible on base to save up. Hubby keeps a change jar- amazing how much that adds up. Movies and other entertainment on base too. As a last resort, we considered taking a "dead horse" when we transferred- no interest. However, we sold an old vehicle instead. Being creative is going to be the key. Also, I hae no shame- I tell my friends I'm saving for the most important investment ever so I can't splurge like before.

I know God will bless our endeavors- He said so!!
