I have come to find that a lot of birthmother's from the 50's and 60's era such as mine was...I was born in "66...have a problem with contact...it's so funny, because at first I thought I was the only adoptee whose birthmother just could not have any contact...she has even gone as far as telling her family to stay away from me...in any case, it really hurt a lot at first...but, I have just had to let it go...it's really her loss...and with or without her help...I will still search for my other half of the family...my birthfather's side.....I have to have hope that my birthfather's side will be open to contact...because I have waited my lifetime just to see someone from my birthfamily acknowledge me for me.
