I think it was a blessing for him. His aparents were not chaotic and abusive like mine were. He didn't know any of the circumstances or history until he found us, so he didn't grow up jealous.
When my mom was pregnant with him, my Dad was still with his first wife and wouldn't leave her, so my mom felt that the only choice she had was to give the baby up. Then they got married, but they couldn't conceive, so they adopted me, and my mom immediately got pregnant with my brother. We're 6 months apart.
