Please try to contact Rita at Catholic Charities at 215-854-7054. She was very, very nice to me in looking for my adoptions records through Catholic Charities. It turned out that there was no records of my adoption, may have been private, however she can point you to the right direction if your records are not through Philadelphia Catholic Charities. You can contact the courts and for a fee, they will look to see if your adoption was put through the Philadelphia court system. This is what happened to me recently. Hope this helps.
