Graham I need you to really think about this situation which happens to foster children more than other children. It's sexual abuse. A scinereo: A boy of 9 has been sexually abused by a man in mid 20's. This goes on for 4 years. He kisses the man, is forced to do acts upon him, and yes get's turned on in the process. Just because he get's turned on, doesn't mean he likes it or is not scared. I kinow this because when I was 9 I was sexually abused also. He feels even worse because it has happened with someone of the same sex. Since most of society does not accept them as normal, he gets ashamed and beleives he is gay. He is sent to foster care to a home with two gay men. He sees love, compasion, understanding, honesty, and then the stab in the heart. The men kiss each other and hug. They wish to show him love ( appropriate love, not pedophillia) maybe hug him or have him lay with them on the couch while they stroke his head. That is my favorite w/ my son. Gays are more affectionate usually than most people. If he was constantly beaten and abused in his former home then even if it reminded him he would be better off and feel somewhat safer with them . See I understand that sometimes it can be better than what they came from. But the constant similarites that remind him are not good. It is a fact most sexual abusers are male. So placing a boy in a lesbian home would not really be a reminder, but I admit I still am not for the lifestyle. The story I tell you is my story ( the sex abuse,not fostercare) I changed it to a boy so you might relate to it. It is what Yrand and I have been saying.
