We are currently working with DHS. We had started working with them over four years ago when we were located to adopt our sweet angel privately. We had to go in a hurry and were very pleased with Columbia Adoption Serivce. They were able to take care of the little details and the tricky situation that had been caused by the "abandoned infant rescue" organization that matched us up with our little girl. (That's a whole 'nuther show) DHS welcomed us back with open arms when we began our current adoption experience and have also watched the details carefully. They are warm but very professional and have years of resources to draw on. Columbia adoptions can also handle special adoptions. We have a friends that are in the process of adopting toddlers that were relinquished by their bparents privately. They are pleased too!
Columbia Adoptions is on the website posted earlier and although they are in the Portland area, they do service a majority of the state.
