GO FOR IT!!! Your co worker is a new parent, with all the joys and excitement (and expense) that goes along. Why should they be cheated out of the fun of a shower just because their "new baby" is not a newborn? Good friends of our adopted a 2 1/2 yr. old from China and we were involved in their shower - if anything it was more special because of the infertility they had gone thru and the trip they were fixing to take to get Hannah.
