Our state has a law titled "False Report to Law Enforcement" that is expanded to include any governemnt body with authority. Any accusation of child abuse must be reported to the police, which causes his false accusation to anyone. It's a misdemeanor with up to $4,000 fine and a year in jail.
There's also the civil route of slander or libel. You would need your own lawyer.
It wouldn't cost anything to talk to the police.
