I am a step child. I want step-parent adoption from Indiana annulled
My mother married a man when I was a small child. He began a step-parent adoption proceeding, had a child with my mother right after that, then divorced her, took the baby he had with her and placed it with his parents to raise and had me and my brother placed in a children's home. After my mom divorced him, my father came back into our lives as an active parent. I have looked for the man that adopted me and my brother for 30 some years and finally found him. He is not, has not been or is ever going to be a parent to me or my brother. All I want is for our birthright name to be reinstated to it's original position, as it was when we kids were born. The man that adopted me and my brother swears he didn't complete the adoption and doesn't have a problem with the annullment, as long as he doesn't have to pay for it... both my biological parents are dead now and the man who's name is on my birth certificate is not my father and is ill now, himself...PLEASE HELP ME........
