I recently called Vital Records for the State of Louisiana. What a joy! Nothing quite like talking to someone who cant' even answer the phone in a polite manner. I asked about a copy of my original birth cert., "Those records are sealed. I advise you get an attorney." I'll try the clerk of court and see if I have better luck there.
