My oldest went through the same thing at that age. It seemed to me that he was noticing SO many new things in the world and he wanted to talk about all of it. Kinda like his brain was working faster than his mouth could get the words out KWIM? Eventually outgrew it, I think it is pretty normal at that age. It might also be that he never had anyone take the time to actually listen to what he has to say, so he wants to tell you everything quickly while he has your attention. We had a FD that was with us for nearly a year before she felt comfortable with the fact that we would sit and listen to her when she had something to say (and oh did she have alot to say! LOL!
