Another option is to look at swimming diapers. They're designed to not be too absorbant but to contain major accidents. If you're looking for cloth options, there are many very cute cloth swim diapers at most stores. They're a thing terry cloth inside and an oil cloth outside. Not sure how water proof they are for containing accidents.
