Our situation was almost the same as Yes2kids. We came forward for placement in the early part of the case. CPS pretty much dropped the ball on us (but our case was we were across country too) and until we got an attorney in the other state and filed a motion in court did it open their eyes. And all this after we actually became a licensed foster home here (because they required that).

You have to continue calling them. Don't give up. We even ended up calling the Governors office in our state and then in the other state. Since you are in the same state I would be calling everyone and anyone who could help me!
