I don't understand why you think this was an act of racism. Did the people show racial slurs out the window at the same time?
Someone threw something out the window at the pool. If it was from so far up, it is possible he wasn't aiming at you at all but happened to hit near you anyway.
It was a scary event but that doesn't mean it was aimed at you or your family specifically.
