I'll just add that in my state we're not allowed to home school a foster child. I had always thought that when we adopt I'd like to home school my children but then I'd be losing out on the free services the local elementary school offers, like speech therapy, etc. You really should decide to home school based on the child you adopt. 06/09 - Opened home to foster care placements
06/09 - Chosen to go to committee for a sibling group of four
08/09 - Not chosen at committee
09/09 - Passed on sibling group of 2

Happy foster mom to 1 baby: Frank the Tank, age 9 mon (placed 6/17/09, RU set for Feb. 2010)
