did you have to take your money belt off when going through airport security?

After all of the help I got from this forum I went out and bought a waist money belt for me and my mother to travel with. Did you have to take it off in Moscow when going through security or can you leave it on? Also, if they don't let you keep it on, can you simply put it in your bag descretely before you leave the plane or does it have to go through the scanner on its own? I have heard some places make you take it off, but I wasn't sure if that meant you take it off and put it through by itself in front of everyone, or if you can put it in a carry on bag or something. Thanks.

I am done with my dossier paperwork. The only thing I am waiting for is my I-600A approval in the mail and then I am done!
I handed in my dossier to my agency on June 17, 2009 but one thing had to be redone so it was officially complete on July 14, 2009. Let the waiting begin!
