Does anyone know if DCFS is still planning to privatize fostercare and adoption? I was told a couple of years ago that DCFS was actively looking to choose a private agency to manage their foster and adoptive homes. I am wondering if that is still going to happen. That is one of the reasons I have not switched to working directly with DCFS. If I remember correctly, region 8 (San Antonio) where I live was supposed to be a pilot program. I have not heard anything since we transitioned from fostering to straight adopt. I would love to know what happened with that plan.
