My husband was layed off in March, about 2 weeks after we started weekend visits with our son. He still doesn't have steady work, only a temp job, but our son is still getting officially placed with us in 5 days :-) It's had no effect at all on the adoption process. In fact, the boy we're adopting who's 15, informed us that he wanted to get a part time job and help us pay the bills... those were the first words out of his mouth when we told him.

Read T's profile November 2008 and knew he was our son (age 16). Met him Feb 2009, weekend visits until placement June 14 2009, finalization December 29, 2009!!!!
