I understand the disinclination to foster. I too have choosen straight adopt. But I am working directly with DCFS. I am looking for 1 or 2 older girls though (4-8 or 9) with mild to moderate levels. And I said any race would be fine with me. I was still told the wait could be lengthy- up to a year.
I am praying for a faster match, and working on developing patience. Which this process has taught me may not be my strongest virtue.
