Has she posted on the forums on here or did she just register? If she registered, then she is certainly open to some form of dialog.
I would suspect that he adopted mom is not passing along the messages. It could be that she didn't know that her daughter was even searching. That is one reason that I am a proponent of letters before calls but that is just me. I am not sure about the e-mails though. They could be dead accounts.
If she has posted here and has a screen name then I'd certainly Google the screen name and see if it shows up any other places. I assume that you have her full name and have tried facebook and myspace.
You may also try another e-mail and ask for a response one way or the other like would be done with a postcard in a letter. Let her know that if she is not open to anything right now that you will not pursue it any further but that you will be there if she ever changes her mind.
Best wishes and don't get discouraged. Sometimes when people are searching and unexpected contact happens they pull back. She might have cold feet and may be mulling it over.
