Hello Everyone....
I know this is a shot in the dark, but I'm 43 years old and running out of time....
I'm in search of my biological father/family,
I've longed for years to know who my biological family was/is....
I was adopted in 1966, We know that my biological father was a crew chief & paratrooper based at Patrick Air Force Base....From what I've been told I was born at the hospital on Base; I was born August 18, 1965 at 8:35am, I was 5lbs 13oz and 19 1/2" long, labor was only a little more than 3 hours
I'm hoping that I can connect with someone that was also at Patrick Air Force Base in 1965 that can tell me anything about any of the crew chiefs/paratroopers that might provide a clue for us to go on....
I know that my biological father was 26 years old in 1965, he was 5' 8" tall, and slim, he had brown hair & blue eyes with a medium complexion, his parents were full German born in the US....He loved sports of all kinds & liked mechanical work... (Sorta ironic, I'm an aircraft mechanic! lol)
I know my biological mother was also 26 years old in 1965, she was 5' 6" tall, and 120lbs, she had auburn hair, brown eyes & a fair complexion, she had a chance to go to Art School but married early, she had hopes of starting night school, she had two children by her first marriage, divoriced & had a third child, her mother had deep red hair & was a book keeper, her father died when he was 50 from a heart attack, he was over 6' tall, had red hair & green eyes, he was of Irish decent, he was a Trolley Operator for 25 years
I know my half/siblings were two boys and a girl....
In October 1965, The Children's Home Society Of Florida Adoption Services in Winter Park, Florida took permanent coustody, which seams to point that I had gone home with my biological mother after birth...at least for abt 2 months
I can only assume that my biological parents are in their 70's by now, and that they may or may not even still be alive.....thats why I'm running out of time, if my times not up already...
I can't help to believe that there isn't one person in my biological family that hasn't thought about me at one point or another & wondered about me...
I've been searching for a long time now....
I HOPE that someone here can shed even a small amount of light......
Perhaps my biological father would be proud to know that I too pursued the Military....I served in Desert Storm, my oldest son is on his second tour in Iraq currently & my oldest step son just returned from Iraq in December....
I'm very proud of ALL service men & women & support them 100%!!!
If you've taken the time to read through all of this, I thank you for your time & hope to hear from you!
With Kind Regards,
James Stipe
