Hi Ran! DH and I are exactly the same age as you guys and we also brought DS home the summer of 2007. We have just one child though.

For the most part it's been amazing. Sometimes I miss the energy of my youth but I certainly would not have made a better mom in other ways.

DS is also a handful. On certain days at least but what toddler isn't. I have to say, despite the fact I wish he had a sib, I'm starting to think one is good for us as parents. I don't know how people do it with two!

My biggest issue besides keeping DS safe (which is becoming much less of an issue as he gets steadier on his feet and is starting to LEARN thank goodness) is that he wants me to play with him ALL THE TIME. I can't take a shower, blow my hair or put on makeup which makes me feel gross many days.

That's another thing about being an older mom i didn't expect. I need more doc appts (which are a challenge to go to) and more time to get ready so I probably would have made a cuter mom had I done this earlier!

Are there many "older" moms where you live? I wish I could meet one but they are all younger and many many are pregnant as well. I really like them though and am no longer thrown by all the pregnancy at all PEACE finally.

Anyway, Welcome!
